Where to get piercings under 18




















For any piercing or jewelry insertion service for a minor, the minor will need a valid non-expired government-issued document that shows their date of birth as well as a photo ID. In addition, we will need a valid non-expired photo ID from the parent or legal guardian that proves they have legal responsibility for the minor. If the adult accompanying the minor is not the parent but is the legal guardian, we will need additional guardianship paperwork as well.

Most importantly, all documents must be original or notarized copies of the original. If you are not the parent but are the legal guardian of the child, we will need official, original paperwork showing that you have legal responsibility for them.

For earlobe piercings on children ages 8 to 12 years old, an appointment is required. See the link after ID information to book an appointment. The Philadelphia Department of Public Health categorizes earlobe piercings differently than other piercing services, so our ID requirements for kids earlobe piercings are a little different than with other piercings on minors.
