I am convinced that is a problem related to the latest Skype version that was automatically updated in the last week version 8. As I mentioned in an earlier post, Skype shows a later version 8. Unfortunately that newer version is no yet available through the Amazon Appstore. Whether it will solve the problem I do not know. I have reported the problem to both Skype and Amazon.

I reported the problem to Skype via an on-line Problem Report but I have no idea if or when they will respond and address it. I reported the problem to Amazon and talked to a real person who submitted the problem report on my behalf. They assure me that there will be a response within two business days.
